Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Clipveil, the app and this website. Using the software means you accept them.

The licence you get

You may install and use Clipveil on the devices you personally own or control, for personal or business use. You may not resell it, rent it, or redistribute modified copies. The software stays ours; you are licensed to use it, not sold ownership of it.

Accounts

Sync requires an account. You are responsible for keeping your password, passphrase and recovery key safe. Because your passphrase never reaches us, we cannot reset it and we cannot recover your synced data without it. Do not create an account for anyone but yourself.

Free tier, trials and paid plans

• The free tier shows your most recent 50 clips, plus anything pinned, and does not include sync. It does not expire.
• The trial unlocks everything for 14 days and does not require payment details.
• Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
• If a plan lapses, the app keeps working at the free tier. Sync stops and only your most recent 50 clips are shown. Nothing is deleted, and older clips reappear if you subscribe again.

Payments and refunds

Purchases are processed by Stripe through Stripe Managed Payments. Stripe is the merchant of record, and its own terms apply to the transaction. Prices are shown before you pay, and tax is handled by Stripe based on where you are. You can view receipts and cancel at any time at link.com, signing in with the email you paid with.

If Clipveil is not what you expected, email support@veldaron.com within 30 days of purchase and you will get a refund. You do not have to justify the request. This is in addition to any statutory right of withdrawal you have.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service to store or distribute unlawful content.
• Attempt to access another user's data, or to break, overload or probe the service.
• Reverse engineer the software except where that right cannot be excluded by law.
• Resell access, or share one account across a group of people.

Because your data is encrypted before it reaches us, we cannot moderate its contents. Accounts may be suspended for abuse of the service itself, such as attacks on the infrastructure or attempts to reach other accounts.

Availability

Sync is a network service and we do not promise it will be uninterrupted. The app is designed so that an outage does not stop you working: history stays on your device and syncs when the service returns, and a paid plan does not lock you out while we are unreachable.

Your data

You own what you copy. Our handling of it is described in the Privacy Policy. We do not claim any licence to your clipboard contents, and we could not use them if we did, because we cannot read them.

Warranty and liability

The software is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury or fraud.

Keep your own backups of anything that matters. A clipboard manager is a convenience, not a storage system of record.

Ending it

You can stop using Clipveil and delete your account at any time. We may terminate an account that breaches these terms, and will refund any unused paid time if we do so for a reason other than abuse.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept the new version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Illinois, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any statutory consumer rights you have where you live are unaffected.
